Review: Bourjois Queen Attitude Khol Kajal and Mascara

Earlier in November Bourjois launched the Queen Attitude Collection, this collection was created to re-create the intense Cleopatra look.
This collection has 2 products-a Kajal eyeliner and a Mascara.
I honestly love Bourjois! i think they have some amazing stuff, so i bought this as soon as it hit the shelves.

I'll start off by talking about the Khol Kajal Eyeliner.
I love the pointy edge of the eyeliner and how it was made not to be sharpened, i can use this as much as possible and it will never go blunt. I love the cute little black ribbon on the lid of the Kohl. The packaging just looks so classy and sophisticated, i love how the Kohl is a twist up, so you can just twist it when it gets a little short. i love the gold- barrel, i think it looks so cute, black and gold are a color combination.
The pigment of this color was not what i had expected, i was hoping it would be this rich, creamy black kohl as it promised. But, unfortunately it didn't give me the look i was hoping for which was an intense Cleopatra-inspired look. I didn't get that, this isn't a very pigmented kohl, it doesn't have that rich black colour that i hoped it had, it went on a dark grey colour which isn't that bad but wasn't what i expected, this kohl stayed on for a very long time though, i tried it out for the whole day which is 12 hours and it stayed on without moving a millimetre which i am Very impressed about. i like that this has a pointed tip which gives you more control over what look you want to achieve

I was really impressed with this mascara, firstly i love the bristles on the wand, it just separates the lashes and makes them look so thick and full, not to mention so voluminous! I could use this even on my bottom lashes and it won't make my eyes look like panda eyes even after 8 hours, so you can wear it all day without it transferring. I also really like the creamy soft formula that doesn't make your eyes feel like you sprayed it with Hairspray, it makes them feel soft and full, i also like that it gives my lashes length and my lashes don't feel clumpy or clogged. I love the wand of this mascara, it get's every lash of mine including the inner and outer corners of my eyes. The packaging is in this cute black little bottle with gold writing.
I really love the Bourjois Queen Attitude Collection and i would score it an 8 out of 10.
Fantastic Collection Bourjois!  :)

How to: Dakota Fanning Inspired Winged Liner

I have always wanted to know how Dakota Fanning's Winged Liner was done. I looked online and everywhere for good explanations on how to create a winged liner like hers. I didn't find it. So i decided to create it by myself. You have the option of using Gel liner or Liquid Eyeliner. i will be showing you how to use both options.

What you will need
  • Mac Painterly Paint Pot
  • Mac Ricepaper Eyeshadow
  • Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid Eyeliner
  • Maybelline Eyestudio Gel Eyeliner-Black
  • Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eye Primer

Step 1: Apply Too Faced Shadow Insurance Primer all over your eyelid. Next, Apply Mac Painterly Paint Pot on inner corner to brow bone.

Step 2: Next, Apply Mac Ricepaper eye-shadow with an eye-shadow brush from inner corner of your eyes to the brow bone and blend.

Now, This is when you have the option of using Gel or Liquid.

Gel: Begin by using an angled eyeliner brush to apply gel eyeliner, apply gel eyeliner from the inner corner more along the lash line in short strokes, make sure to be as close to the lash line as possible. Next go over the liner with gel liner, this time without strokes. to make the liner alot more darker, add more liner. (but not too much!)

Liquid: Begin by steadying your arm or hand on a hard surface to avoid shaky liner, Next, Apply liner on the inner liner, make sure to start off thin on the inner corners then go thicker as you go along the lash line.

Hope you enjoyed and will give this a try.

How to: Alexander Wang Inspired Braid

A while ago, (back in 2009) In Designer Alexander Wang's Yearly Runway Fashion Shows,
i came across this look! I was excited to re-create this look, i ran to my dresser, sat down in front of the mirror, and messed around until i re-created it! after i had created it i was glued to this Hairstyle, i wore it everywhere i went,i never got sick of it! it went with everything i wore! and since Summer is Just around the corner, i decided that i would share this look with you!

What you will need
  • Texture Spray
  • Curling Iron
  • Hair Brush
  • Hair Elastic
Let's Begin!

Step 1: Brush your hair to smooth out any flyaways or tangles
Spray Texture Spray from root to tip, to create volume.

Step 2: Flip all your hair from the left side to the right,
brush your hair all on to the right side.

Step 3: For now, we will leave the fringe.
Braid your hair invertedly (the reverse braid)

Step 4: To create the inverted braid, divide the hair into three strands,
put the left strand under the middle strand, then put the right strand under the middle strand. continue doing so until finished, then use your hair elastic to tie the end of the braid.. The Reverse Braid is basically a normal braid, but inverted (reversed).

Step 5: After you have braided the hair, gently tug it apart from the sides to create thickness.

Step 6: Now that you are done with the braiding, steps you then move on to the fringe,
brush the fringe through to tame any tangles and flyaways, the use your curling iron and pick up any
       random pieces and curl them.

There You Have It! a beautiful, voluminous Braid.
I really Hope you enjoyed it and i hope you give it a go!

Tips:

  • to create more of a messy look, after you have finished pull out random strands from the side to make it look more messy.
  • Put this Look together with neutral brown eye makeup and flawless skin for summery look!
